Kwanzaa Oh Kwanzaa is composed by Singer, Songwriter and Musician Tschaka Tonge in tribute to the African-American holiday Kwanzaa. This song was first written for the children he taught music and science, in after school program for the holiday in 1978. Kwanzaa Oh Kwanzaa was released in its reworked form on CD in 2009 for his Jahz Time record label. As composer Tschaka employed what calls the Jahz Sound. He explains as, The Black Music Fusion. The United Nations of Black Music. Noteworthy elements of this composition, is the intercontinental grooves of Africa, and the Americas that set up the musical bed for the lyrics and vocal performances.
