Notes

Uztar is a Los Angeles based rock band formed in 2001 when two former bands, Miosis and Zira, merged as one. The band has played predominantly in Los Angeles with some success. They've had the chance to headline the House of Blues on Sunset and have played through out the Sunset Strip venues: Knitting Factory, The Roxy Theater, Whisky a-Go-Go, and Key Club.

Uztar is an indie-rock band that can be categorized as shoegaze or post rock. The band is known for its dreamy guitars, with the punch of fuzz and overdrive. The drums, bass, and vocals concatenate the sound that is unique to Uztar's ambient, yet melancholic sound. Influenced by bands like Mogwai, Sigur, Ros, Deftones, and even the 80's, Uztar has managed to make a name for themselves in Los Angeles and Latin America, especially since the vocals present lyrics in Spanish.

The band continues to push forward and continues to play occasionally, predominantly in Long Beach, CA.
