While this one is slightly better than the previous album I cannot say much great about it either. Like the previous release, this one contains a lot of fillers throughout both CD's and because of this it misses a chance of being considered a top notch experience. It is worse than all In The Mix and Big Mix albums from the same year and only mildly surpasses the first Club Mix 97. The mixing here is also a bit of an issue, though my score mainly comes down to the song choices they used. The first CD is the superior one of the two in my opinion and it starts off well with U2's Discotheque and contains other greats along the way including The Source Featuring Candi Staton's You Got The Love which really should have been the first song as it is slow, but we also have The Blue Boy's Remember Me, 99 Allstars's Love Is All You Need, J.T. Playaz's Just Playing, Pianoman's Party People, Sub Merge Featuring Jan Johnston's Take Me By The Hand (my favourite song), Porn Kings's Up To No Good (Original Mix) and JX's Close To Your Heart which is also a favourite. The ones I have not mentioned are just underwhelming and kind of boring to be honest, spoiling some of the experience. Onto another issue I have, the mixing is a bit lazy throughout this CD when we consider that after the second track, it slows down to Candi Station's You Got The Love, then literally no mixing between The Blue Boy into Byron Stingily. The transition between Take Me By The Hand into Up To No Good sounds great initially but once the drums kick in for Porn Kings it sounds shoddily put together with the previous track still playing. This is why I have issues with St. Peter & Heaven because unlike Wise Buddah, these guys just play two songs over each other instead of slowly ending the previous and slowly building into the next one.The second CD... is a dud. I do not like this one at all and I have tried re-listening to it to see if it would grow on me, but no. The mixing sounds a little better but there were even less songs that I liked thanks to this consisting of mostly lame house music until near the end. The songs I do like are Leftfield & Lydon's Open Up, Robert Miles's One & One (Quivver Amytiville Vox Mix), Mr Jack's Wiggly World (Big Boogie Mix) and the last four tracks on the CD. That is a very small amount, and the rest are either dull or repetitive, it is just not a fun experience. While I love songs like Partizan's Drive Me Crazy (Tin Tin Out Mix), The Digital Blondes's Antheum (Original Mix) and Y Traxx's Mystery Land (Original Mix), they are not enough to keep this CD from being a huge disappointment.Much like Club Mix 97 (Vol. 1), this one is a disappointment and I would not recommend it. The first CD alone would be good for 3 stars despite it's issues, but the second brings the entire thing down to 2 stars, which in my book means I dislike it overall, but don't hate it. If you are looking for a good mix from this time, I would recommend either Big Mix 97 or In The Mix 97 (Vol. 2) as they contain similar tracks.

Starts off pretty good, energy starts to build up and then suddenly after the third track they drop You Got The Love out of nowhere. Its not mixed in, it just appears at the end of Inferno, all the energy drops from the mix. After that there are only a few good tracks left in the mix...it's pretty disapointing. The tracks become wildly hit and miss, with the misses being pretty terrible. One thing that I will say for this series so far is that they do keep the 'vibe' fairly consistant throughout the series. CD1 has mostly housey/handbag house/early hard house on it, and if it weren't for that You Got The Love the mix would have at least kept from flow to it, even though the flow was a flow of not so great tracks.CD1 has one of the worst ratings out of all the CDs i've reviewed so far.CD2 is much better, it's a fairly well mixed cd of darker sounds, tech house, progressive house and trance with the odd cheeser thrown in for good measure. Overall CD2 saved this one from being a complete failure (My rating system)(240 out of 500) - CD1 really brings this one down, a flimsy 2 star.

I’m the complete opposite of you here. I really enjoyed CD1 despite some bad mixing early on, but I don’t like CD 2 at all except for the first few songs and the last few.
