All Transistance comps have one thing in common: Cheesy, tier 3 songs. No offense intended, but if this is the first Classic Goa Trance you have heard, you are not hearing the essence of Goa Trance.

I would simply say that this isnt goa trance so therefor stating you are not hearing the essence of goa is correct becuase this isnt meant to sound like goa

Transistance series cover a very specific offshoot of Goa Trance (better known as Greek Uplifting Trance) and therefore shouldn't be hold to the same standards as classical Goa Trance. None of the artists in these compilations (aside from the first Transistance with Psycho Meditation) were trying to create the classical Goa Trance sound. Saying Uplifting Trance is tier 3 Goa Trance is like saying Happy Hardcore is tier 3 Doomcore. Or that Dubstep is tier 3 Drum 'n' Bass. Or something like that. It simply doesn't make a lot of sense as they aren't the same genres, although it's true they share (some) common roots.On a sidenote, I admit Discogs is partially to blame for this as the website doesn't allow further categorizations beyond the style "Goa Trance". Hence I do understand why you don't enjoy listening these compilations if you have Goa Trance in mind.

  chimushi You can keep listening to good traditional Goa trance music and not insult the artists by saying such things as "tier 3 cheesy songs". You obviously don't like Greek uplifting trance. "Tier 3 cheesy" songs for you may be diamonds for others. And I am listening all kinds of music including good Classic Goa.
